The art of decoration

Polyakova’s paintings refer to the folk decorative art, but at the same time they are original and authentic. Here you can find the ornaments, birds, animals, rivers and lakes, housewares. These motives are not new, however, on Marina’s canvases they are combined together into bright and one-of-a-kind images.

Marina Polyakova was born in 1967 in the city of Yoshkar-Ola. In 1993 she graduated from the Arts and Graphics faculty of the State Pedagogical Institute in Vladimir and in 1995 from the Interior Design faculty of the Nizhny Novgorod Academy of Architecture and Civil Engineering. From 2000 she is a member of the Union of Artists of Russia.

The works of Marina Polyakova are kept in the private collections in Russia, France, Germany, England, the USA, Czech Republic, Austria and Holland.
