A transport hub will become neighbour to Country ParkToday, the future construction site reminds of the Zone from “Stalker”: the naturally beautiful plot between the Leningradskoye highway and the bank of the Butakovsky bay of the Khimki Reservoir is buried under garbage and used as an open-air warehouse.
But already soon you can moor your boat, take off in a helicopter and take a walk along the embankment. The reorganization plan implies construction of technological buildings with total area of 70,000 square meters, including a helicopter terminal with sheds for machine storage, bus station, taxi parking lot, park and ride lot, terminal for river transport and a hotel. After the completion of the transport hub “Leningradskoye highway” the city will not only receive a system of comfortable transfers among different kinds of public transport, but also a recreational zone. The construction of the transport hub was approved at the meeting of Moscow Urban Planning and Land Commission. 22.05.2015 |
