The Moscow authorities decided to hasten the construction of Zamoskvoretskaya metro line behind the Rechnoy Vokzal station. This means that metro station within walking distance from Country Park is sure to come into being soon.

Let us recall that initially Belomorskaya and Ulitsa Dybenko metro stations were planned to have been opened by 2020. “Now we have set the task to finish the construction of these stations several years earlier”, said Moscow Mayor Sergey Sobyanin on May 30. “Thus, in as little as several years the whole territory of the Northern District up to the Moscow Ring Road borders will be covered by the metro service.”

According to the Mayor, seven metro stations are being constructed in the Northern District at present: four of them as a part of the Third Interchange Circuit and three stations on the Lyublinskaya metro line. These projects will be commissioned in 2014-2015.

In the eyes of Sobyanin, commission of additional railway line from Moscow to Kryukovo (Octyabrskoye direction) will help unclog Leningradskoye Shosse, as well. This route will probably be opened in 2014. At the opening of passenger traffic at the Small Ring of the railway road four stations will be located in the Northern District.
