Russian impressionism

March 24th, picture exhibition by Boris Bezikovitch opened in Country Park art-gallery.

"Russian Impressionism" is the name of the exhibition, and its main hero is the Soviet painter Boris Besicovitch (1917-1978). Boris Besicovitch was born in 1917 and was "revolutionary" of his time. Broad strokes, fascination with light effects made his bright style loud and far from the official art.

Fearing accusations of formalism, Besicovitch went to Kyrgyzstan, and gained the status of the artist there and received the first recognition. However, his pictures were not appreciated by the general public. "For Besicovitch, my teacher, it was important not just to create an abstraction, he knew deeply felt the image, - said apprentice of the artist Roman Sviridov. - these paintings have the second, and the third plan. In my opinion, this is an unappreciated artist. I advise you to pay attention to his art".

Using bold broad strokes, the artist is primarily express the mood. "Feels like it is not enough space on the canvas for him, and he sought to broad the scope of the picture, - noted art-critic Stanislav Ayginyan.
Exposition, which runs until April 15th, is presented by “Russian Gallery on Vozdvizhenka”.
